From Room To Room

From Room To Room
A music-performance-play for two female voices, choir and band, tape and amplified roller skates.

Every 100 years the Collective Re demands a person who has to go into the zwischenraum where it is examined whether they are able to preserve the community.

This time the young woman Myra is the chosen one. In the zwischenraum she meets Candy, a blonde girl on roller skates. The Collective insists that Myra should kill Candy. Only then she will be allowed to return to her life within the Collective. Being pulled deeper and deeper by the power of the zwischenraum, Myra slowly loses her memory. The lost memory brings you back to the moment in life before you realize you have the need to be loved by someone. The zwischenraum is a space between past and future, tradition and vision. Whoever enters it, loses their identity and lingers on the threshold between the different rooms of our world.

The music-performance-play From Room to Room combines the pop music of Maren Montauk (Oak & electrorot) with composed theatre, performance and Interaction with the audience.
