In From Room To Room – The Game Of You reist Myra in ein interaktives Computerspiel um ihre Freundin Kim zu retten. AI Candy erwartet sie bereits in der digitalen Super-Welt und überschüttet sie mit grenzenloser Gestaltungskraft. Das perfekt erschaffene Leben mit vielen Hearts, Likes & Followern schlägt unerbittlich im Algorithmus der Effizienz, filtert nach und nach die Gegenwart hinaus. Das Festhalten an Originalität und Charisma wird zu einer großen Herausforderung.
Die Musik-Theater-Performance-Reihe From Room To Room – The Game Of You wandelt sich in der dritten Edition zu einem Contemporary-Multimedia-Musical. Gefördert durch den VdM, Kultur macht Stark, Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung und in Zusammenarbeit mit der Musikschule Gladbeck, der Jugendkunstschule Gladbeck, Internationales Mädchenzentrum Gladbeck e.V.und dem VFL Gladbeck entsteht ein brandneues Jugend-Musical.

This time, in From Room To Room – The Game Of You, Myra travels into an interactive computer game to save her best friend Kim. In the digital super-world AI Candy is already waiting for her – In the Beginning she showers Myra and Kim with limitless creative power and creates a perfect life with lots of hearts, likes and followers. But the algorithm beats with relentlessly efficiency, gradually filtering out the present. Holding on to originality and charisma becomes an extraordinary challenge.
Supported by the VdM, Culture Makes You Strong, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and in cooperation with the Gladbeck Music School, the Youth Art School, the International Girls‘ Center e.V. and the VFL Gladbeck, a brand new musical is being created.

In vielerlei Hinsicht verzahnt die Produktion die analoge und digitale Welt technisch und künstlerisch, wobei auch das Publikum interaktiv in die Handlung eingebunden wird, um gemeinsam mit den Spielenden auf der Bühne einen Weg zurück in die Realität finden…Ein sechsköpfiges Dozent:innenteam unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Maren Kessler vermittelte den 60 jungen Darstellenden all Aspekte einer Musicalproduktion: Sie entwickeln eigene Songs, Texte und Arrangements, studieren eine Tanzchoreografie ein und sind an der Produktion einer multimedia Video-Bühnenshow beteiligt. In multifaceted ways, the project „The Game Of You“ explores the use of virtual worlds in the everyday lives of young people, creating an artistic intensity marked by outstanding professionalism. This multimedia musical production combines singing, dance, multimedia stage design, and video editing, impressing with its strong theatrical and performative qualities. It taps directly into the expressive power of 60 children and teenagers and captivates as a piece of musical depth and thematic complexity.
Especially in an age shaped by self-presentation through social media, „The Game Of You“ offers ample space for a critical and artistic examination of the dangers and possibilities of virtual worlds.
In many ways, the production intertwines the analog and digital realms both technically and artistically, with the audience being interactively drawn into the narrative — joining the performers on stage in finding a way back to reality.
A team of six instructors, under the artistic direction of Maren Kessler, guided the 60 young performers through all aspects of musical production: they developed original songs, texts, and arrangements, rehearsed dance choreography, and participated in the creation of a multimedia video stage show.
